Due to a server configuration management issue caused by human error, our services were inaccessible from 16:02 to 16:07 GMT today.

A configuration management code change that was meant for our staging environment was accidentally deployed to our production environment, and required a manual restart of the web server daemon to be able to serve traffic again.

We are investigating what happened and will find ways to prevent this from happening in the future
